Classroom is Hogwarts for the day
Children at Holy Trinity First School celebrated World Book Day by dressing up and taking part in a range of storytelling activities.
Each class chose their own theme to mark the day, which is aimed at encouraging reading.
Both the nursery and reception classes dressed up like their favourite characters with costumes including princesses, superheroes and Where’s Wally. Years 1 and 3 opted to wear their pyjamas to school and read bedtime stories and Year 3 became crayons – dressed in one colour – as their theme was based on the book The Day the Crayons Quit.
Year 4’s classroom resembled Hogwarts as they chose to hold their own Harry Potter Day.
