Circuit of the town walls completed by pupils
Schools across north Northumberland did their bit for Sport Relief on Friday with their own fund-raising efforts.
Among those getting involved was St Cuthbert’s RC First School in Tweedmouth, whose children walked the 1.25-mile circuit of Berwick’s Elizabethan Walls.
They stopped for a photo at the Lady Jerningham statue on Bankhill and enjoyed clambering on the benches looking out over the estuary. They then walked back to their classrooms over the Royal Tweed Bridge.
Head teacher Clare McGregor said: “Everyone thoroughly enjoyed it although there were a lot of tired legs on their return to school!”
