Cheque out Society's funding support
We are having a Furry Friends Fun Day at our shop, at 7-9 Marygate, Berwick, on Saturday, April 2, between 10am and 4pm.
On the day there will be a few of our furry friends there to see, as well as a special toy stall and a few extra surprises.
In the run up, there will be lots of competitions for children to take part in, including colouring and drawing competitions. Details will be available on the event sections of our Facebook page and website, and from the BARK shop from Monday, February 15, just in time for something to do for the upcoming half-term holidays.
Beth is an eight-and-a-half-year-old collie, with one brown eye and one blue eye. She has a sweet nature and loves people, although is wary of young children. She is also not keen to have dogs invade her personal space, but if they leave her then she leaves them. She is very young at heart and loves her walks and to be out and about. She would prefer a home either in a small village or the countryside.
We were delighted that Hector the puppy was invited to Newcastle Building Society in Hide Hill last week to collect a cheque for £662. This has been raised over the last six months through cake sales, coffee mornings and tombolas, to name but a few. Many thanks to all the staff and, of course, their customers for their generosity.

According to a recent poll, black cat owners are the luckiest. We have many black cats, or black and white cats (I’m sure owners are just as lucky). Some of them have had a bit of a rough start, but are doing well now and all of them are so affectionate.
Raya is an older tabby. She has just had a couple of teeth out and is now like a new kitten. Marcy is a very pretty, semi long haired cat and likes life on her terms so an owner prepared to be tolerant when she’s having one of her tantrums would be ideal.
Have you got room for a cat to help keep the mice down? We have a cat looking for an outside home as she has some behavioural issues.
