Callum turns the Royal Border Bridge blue

Berwick did its bit to mark World Autism Day on Saturday when the Royal Border Bridge was turned blue.

The Royal Border Bridge at Berwick upon Tweed was turned blue for World Autism Day. Local youngster Callum Strachan, from Highcliffe, had the honour of pressing the button.

His mum, Nicola, arranged it to spread awareness of the condition.

“I’d like to thank everyone that made it happen,” she said. “All four of my boys have a dignosis of autism and it’s definitely a tough rollercoaster ride of emotions but I couldn’t be prouder of my boys and how they overcome the battles they face.”
