Bygone era recalled at 1940s tea dance
A tea dance in aid of the Mayor's charity went with a swing in Berwick town hall.
The event, organised by Jessica Spencer-Barry and her team, raised £540 for the RNLI.
The afternoon was compered by Philip Crowcroft and included dance demonstrations where everyone could join in the fun.
Mayor Hazel Bettison said: “I can’t thank everyone who made the tea dance so special, raising monies for such a good cause. Some of the 1940s costumes were brilliant, it was a lovely way to spend a Sunday afternoon.”
Guests included ex-Bletchley Park Wren Mary Sherrard, aged 93, Margaret Peace, 91 and Catherine Feeny.
