Busy time of the year at Longridge Towers

Children in Early Years at Longridge Towers School celebrated the magic of Christmas by performing Born in a Barn as their annual Nativity play.

Longridge Junior School student council raised the sum of £1,205.75 for the Great North Air Ambulance.

There was a good deal of commotion in a Bethlehem stable when the animals realised that there was a baby in the barn!

The cows, sheep, pigs, cat and cockerel all learned about their special guest from the owl and the donkey that brought the baby along, as well as the guests that followed.

As more and more visitors arrived to greet the new king, the animals slowly realised what a privilege it was to share their home with such an important baby.

Early Years, J1 and J2 performed superbly, making parents and staff immensely proud.

The Junior School student council has also raised £1,205.75 for the Great North Air Ambulance which was their chosen charity last academic year.

Last month, children from Form 1 and the Junior school presented a cheque to Miles, their mascot.
