More than 100 guests have now registered for the event in Berwick town hall on Thursday, March 17.

There has been particular interest from businesses north of the border keen to establish stronger links with Berwick.

“It’s going incredibly well,” said organiser Eric Goodyer, speaking at Monday night’s meeting of Berwick Town Council.

“The list of those already registered shows we are attracting the right sort of people.”

He revealed that a ‘business angel’ with substantial sums to invest was scheduled to attend.

A Scottish manufacturing firm which has expressed interest in relocating to Berwick is also due to attend.

Lothian Chamber of Trade has also indicated it is keen to form closer working relations with Berwick businesses.
