Britain will flourish
I have just read the letter from Jean Watts regarding the EU, (Berwick Advertiser, March 10).
She regards the EU as ‘partners’.
This is an organisation that has not been able to balance the books for 20 years. We pay £350,000,000 per week to it. We have foreign rapists and murderers we cannot deport because of ‘human rights’ applied by European law which British judges have to abide by.
We are not partners, we are the soft touch of Europe because we adopt every rule and directive sent from Brussels.
Britain is more than capable of looking after itself.
The EU needs us more than we need it, and if it looks like we will be voting to leave, watch the EU try to throw sweeteners at us to stay.
My own personal opinion is that we should vote to leave, then watch Britain flourish once more.
