The bird-themed blinds are installed at the Berwick Swan and Wildlife Trust office.

Chris, who owns Your Local Blind Man, has donated two blinds to Berwick Swan and Wildlife Trust.

The blinds, which are made to measure and animal themed to suit the organisation, were donated as the Trust had recently decorated its office on the Ramparts Business Park on the northern outskirts of the town.

The donation was the latest gesture from Your Local Blind Man, who works closely with the Trust’s neighbours Berwick Animal Rescue Kennels (BARK) and has helped them out in the past.

All ex-display blinds from the showroom on Bridge Street are donated to BARK’s shop on Marygate to help raise funds for the charity.

Chris said: “We’re big animal lovers and so whenever we can help out with local charities we are only too happy to.

“We’ve seen first hand the great work Berwick Swan and Wildlife Trust does, having dropped off a few injured birds over the years, and so were honoured to be able to give back in the form of these new blinds.”

Berwick Swan and Wildlife Trust has provided rescue and treatment to more than 1,000 swans and other sick animals over the last 25 years.

Your Local Blind Man, which also has a shop in Kelso, cover a large area from Alnwick to Edinburgh.
