Berwick man gets driving ban after breath test refusal
A drink driver has been banned from getting behind the wheel for 16 months.
John Blythe, 58, from High Greens in Berwick, pleaded guilty to a charge of failing to provide a specimen for analysis.
Berwick magistrates heard that police had been asked to search for the defendant on November 17 due to concerns for his welfare.
The court heard the defendant was seen driving a van in Tweedmouth.
He was asked to do a roadside breath test but refused so was arrested and then failed toprovide a sample at the station.
He was also fined £250 and ordered to pay £200 costs and a £30 court surcharge.
