The concert, held at St Andrew’s Church, Wallace Green, Berwick, on Wednesday, December 14, saw the audience get into the spirit of the occasion with the kazoos, supplied by Longbones Retailers.

The audience buzzed along to the traditional tunes played on the piano by Robin Cheer, the conductor.

The choir was in fine voice, giving spirited versions of Welsh hymns, Scottish tunes and spirituals.

And the choir’s own WAGS section joined in with beautifully sung wistful and humorous numbers.

However, Christmas is all about togetherness and the audience enthusiastically joined in at the beginning, middle and end of the concert with traditional carols, finishing with the rousing O Come All Ye Faithful.

Deputy Mayor Gregah Roughead thanked the choir for the concert and also for the way it helped to promote Berwick locally and nationally in the twin towns in Norway and Germany.
