Berwick kennel is looking to find a home for terrier pup Buddy
Little Buddy is almost a year old and a red coloured terrier. He is a nice boy, full of energy and a typical terrier.
He has been with us a while and had been offered a home, but it fell through, through no fault of his own.
Sadly, this makes it look like Buddy has been with us a while and that puts people off, such a shame for a young pup to be with us at such an informative time.
Similarly, lurcher pups Tara and Lacey haven’t had a single enquiry. They are just seven months old and are brilliant dogs, who get on with other dogs and are walking well on a lead.
Sadly, we still have our golden oldies Millie and Archie, the brindle 10-year-old staffies. Archie would be better as an only pet, but Millie appears to be great around other dogs and takes all the new dogs at the kennels under her wing.
We have cats from young to old, moggies to pedigrees and all other manner in between, and a wide range of colours and patterns. Some, like Daffy, are constantly overlooked, but have so much to offer. Sox, who originally had a bit of an attitude problem, has learnt life’s not all bad and now enjoys attention and, most importantly, love.
We were delighted to be invited to Duns Primary School, not only to be presented with a cheque raised through P7’s entrepreneurial endeavours, but also to see the end of school assembly. You have certainly done everyone proud.
We are offering the opportunity for students, 15 years and older, to help at the kennels one day a week through the summer holiday. This is a new initiative and if all goes well we hope to open the opportunity to a younger age group in the future. Anyone interested can download an application form from our website.
We are also looking for extra volunteers at our shop during the busy summer season. Could you spare three hours once or twice a week? There is a very wide range of help needed at our shop, something to suit everyone. Please pop in and have a chat.
