Berwick drugs warning issued

Police are warning people of the dangers of taking medication that is not prescribed to them after drugs were lost in Berwick.

The drugs were reported missing after being taken from an unlocked car in the Sea View area of the town between 9am and 11am on Monday, March 7.

The pack contains a quantity of pain killers, and tablets prescribed for a heart condition and increased cholesterol and could be harmful if taken by anyone who has not been prescribed them.

Officers in Northumberland are warning anyone who comes across them to be on guard.

Anyone who finds the medication, or knows of its whereabouts, should hand it in to police straight away.
