Berwick Bulldogs raise over £1,000 for Royal British Legion
Berwick Bulldogs Scooter Club did a Remembrance rideout earlier this month.
It was the fourth successive year the group have organised the event, with sponsored wreaths laid at five local war memorials. This year, 23 riders took part.
They are supported by Brenda Rollo at the Free Trade, who kindly gives up the pub once a year so the club can put up flags and bunting.
Michael Cromarty said: “We made over £1,000 for the Royal British Legion, with riders coming from as far afield as Newcastle, Ashington, Galashiels, Tranent and Haddington to take part. A lot of the riders also had pillion passengers so there were 38 people in total.”
Food was supplied by the Vespa club of Berwick, badges were done by the Britannia Bulldogs, badges supplied by David Johnston and sponsors Ideal Carpets and Beds, LT hair and beauty, Border Villager taxis, Castle Blinds, Carl Hudson, Hutton Mill, Wendy Flannigan and Pet Grooming.
