Belford man gets important health role
A Belford man, who received an MBE in the 2016 New Year's Honours list, has received a prestigious new appointment.
The Royal College of Physicians (RCP) has appointed Christopher Matthews-Maxwell MBE TD as a lay assesor in connection with the RCP Joint Advisory group accreditation scheme for endoscopy services provide by both NHS trusts and private health providers.
The Joint Advisory group accreditation scheme is closely aligned with the Care Quality Commission’s fundamentals of quality and safety that everyone has the right to expect.
The overall purp0se is to ensure that all service providers are equipped with the appropriate skills and resources to ensure the highest quality of patient care.
Mr Matthews-Maxwell has a number of other public appointments in the fields of health and social care. He brings wide, relevent experience to this very important new role.
