Bedmax appoints new sales manager

Equine bedding manufacturer, Bedmax shavings, has announced the appointment of Georgina Teece as area sales manager for the north of England.

Georgina takes up this maternity cover position from Global Herbs Ltd, where she worked for almost two years managing a range of accounts from retailers to equine yards.

Georgina will be responsible for developing sales of Bedmax, identifying new opportunities for the company within her geographical area. She will also be required to develop the sales of Stockmax and Hotmax.

She said: “I am delighted to be joining the team as sales manager for the north of England for such as highly respected company.

“Bedmax is a market leader and the company is passionate about wellbeing, continually researching how to further improve their products, and most importantly the health of horses in the stable.”

Based in Middlesbrough, and with a strong equine background including experience working in an international showjumping yard, Georgina understands the importance of good bedding when it comes to the health and well-being of horses in the stable. She brings with her knowledge and experience of the industry, and understands the importance of working alongside retailers and customers to ensure that they are fully supported to achieve the combined goals.

Georgina has an excellent track record within the industry and her previous jobs have also included the role of equine head buyer for Armstrong Richardson in Stokesley. She began her time at Armstrong Richardson as retail assistant, working her way up through the ranks over a five year period where she established a strong foundation of retail experience as well as account management, which will be invaluable in her new position.

Bedmax, which has held a Royal Warrant from the Queen since 2008, has regularly topped equine industry trade body polls as the UK’s most popular horse bedding. It has also been a recipient of the BETA UKTI Award for outstanding export achievement.
