Banking on your support for funds
Many thanks to the staff and customers of the Co-Op Belford for their support last weekend.
BARK representatives were there selling raffle tickets, as well as encouraging Co-Op members to nominate BARK as their charity.
Every time members buy selected Co-Op products, if nominated, BARK will receive one per cent, and the fund was given a boost at the start with a donation from the 5p carrier bag surcharge.
Thank you to everyone who has nominated BARK so far, and if you have a Co-op card please do consider nominating BARK. This does not affect the five per cent given direct to members.
BARK has also signed up for Grow Your Tenner. This initiative allows BARK to claim match funding of £10 for every £10 donation received via the website link https://localgiving.org/charity/bark/ or in the case of a direct debit, £10 for each £10 donation for the first three months. Match funding is limited.
All monies received via Grow Your Tenner will go towards the improvements in our dog enrichment area.
The amount of cats coming through the kennels appears to be never ending. As soon as one goes we have a huge list of others waiting to come in. We have some beauties, ranging from just a few months old up to the special Heidi, who is in double figures.
Ocra is just a young, rough coated lurcher, under a year old. She loves cuddles and walks well on a lead. She would be ok with children over eight and has lived with other dogs. Ocha could not go with cats or other small furies.
Funny Bunny and Honey are two lovely rabbits. These two are a classic example of what a difference can be made to a rabbit by having the right accommodation. Both have come on so well and are friendly and inquisitive.
We are having a Christmas Coffee Morning at Walkergate on Saturday, December 3. We will be having a tombola and would appreciate any donations of prizes. These can be dropped into the kennels or shop, marked tombola please.
