The Bandits were due to race the second leg of their Tees-Tweed Trophy clash against Redcar at Shielfield on Saturday, but a heavy downpour less than two hours before the scheduled 7pm start time left the club with no option but to postpone.

However, within 48 hours, the Borderers and the Bears had got their act together, and with the co-operation of both Workington and Scunthorpe, they have now agreed to try again this Saturday (April 2).

The planned Border Trophy meeting against Workington has now been switched to Saturday, April 30, with the original fixture against Scunthorpe in the premier league to be rearranged.

Berwick opened the 2016 campaign away to Redcar last Thursday in the first leg of the TTT, and they went down 47-43 after leading for most of the meeting.
