Scott, accompanied by fellow troubadour Jez Hellard, will perform at Barrels Ale House on Wednesday.

Described as “one of Canada’s most inspiring and imaginative storytellers”, Scott has used his vast experience of more than a decade of near-incessant touring across Canada, the United States, Europe, Asia and Australia to pen straight-talking, observant verse.

His tunes weave threads of folk, roots, blues, soul and country over spacious fingerstyle guitar and clawhammer banjo arrangements.

Scott’s fourth album One More Time Around was nominated for a Canadian Folk Music Award, and the opening track, Pass It Along, won the Folk and Acoustic category in the 2013 UK Songwriting Contest.
