Asda application attracts opposition from local residents
A meeting is being arranged to discuss concerns about a planning application made by Asda.
It wants to vary a condition of approved plans over the location of plant machinery at its Tweedmouth store.
However, there have been objections from local residents about the noise it generates. They also claim it is in the wrong position.
Coun Georgina Hill raised the matter at Berwick Town Council’s planning meeting and said residents, councillors and Asda representatives would be invited to a meeting. Town councillors indicated they would agree with any comments and observations submitted as part of the Environmental Impact Assessment.
