Archie finally finds his '˜forever home'
Thank you to everyone who came and supported our fair last weekend.
Our raffle tickets are still on sale until the drawn on Saturday, December 16, which will take place at our shop at 3pm. Please do join us, there will be lots of festive cheer and a tombola.
Lots of rabbits will be staying with us over Christmas and we have many more waiting to come in. It’s so sad that these beautiful animals get overlooked time and time again.
Sadly, cute baby bunnies find a home, but when they don’t get the care and attention they need they turn into adults who end up in rescue. Some of them react well to a bit of TLC, but others will always have interesting personalities.
As moving to a new home and family is stressful for any animal, we feel it is unfair to subject them to the additional stress of the inevitable disruptions and coming and goings over the Christmas and New Year period so we close for animal rehoming on December 9.
Of course, we will be here to look after the animals and take in any that need us.
They all have their own Christmas stockings and this time of year is always a very positive experience for the animals, with lots of extra time for them and the special treats that appear to be delivered daily.
Christmas came early for one resident as Archie will not be spending another Christmas with us. After 628 days, this lovely lad finally found his forever home. We couldn’t be more pleased, and although there will be a settling in period – we have, after all, been his home for nearly two years – we have no doubt that he will lavish love on his new family and given time to settle will be just about perfect.
There are lots of collections going on for the BARK animals to help make their Christmas just as special as people’s own pets. The animals with us are very much wanted and loved by us and we really appreciate all the extra trouble you go to at this time of year to make sure they don’t miss out. Thank you.
