Amazing sum collected
Our time as M&S Local Charity of the Year, nominated by staff at the Tweedmouth store, has come to an end.
We have enjoyed wonderful support, not only from the fantastic staff, but also from the very generous customers.
Over the past 12 months there have been many fund-raising events – a sponsored walk, exercise bike rides, a very enjoyable open musical afternoon and in-store bag packs, to name but a few.
Staff of M&S and members and friends of Berwick and District Friends of Dementia have taken part in many of these.
A special mention to Hayley Garland (teacher), Carla and Mandy (teaching assistants), and the boys and girls of the community group from Tweedmouth Community Middle School who took part in several events and raised much needed funds for our charity.
Thanks also to their headteacher Mr Hulbert, who came along to show his support.
We are delighted to announce that the total raised over the year came to the incredible amount of £11,645.
Thank you so much to everyone who contributed to our amazingly successfully year. We could not have done it without you.
We have a Facebook page where everyone can see photographs of the various events. Please follow and ‘like’ us at Berwick & District Friends of Dementia.
Thank you so very, very much.
