Alnmouth through to Minor Cup semi's

Only four games survived the weather in the North Northumberland League at the weekend.

Ben Lilburn gave Red Row the lead but Jud Donohoe equalised for Alnmouth before half time .

In the second half it was Alnmouth who progressed into the semi finals thanks to a four goal haul from Kevin Bell .


Rothbury 5

Amble St Cuthbert 1

Rothbury gained their first win of the season with this win over Amble.

Connor Stroughton gave Amble a first half lead but Rothbury hit back to net two times before the interval .

During the second half they netted another three before the final whistle. Goalscorers for Rothbury were Michael Old two , Greg Woodburn , Kyle Smith and Stuart Foreman .

Embleton WR 2

Highfields United 1

After a close, competitive game, Embleton secured the win that moves them to within one point of leaders Wooler at the head of the Division .

It was Highfields who led at half time thanks to a Grant Sharp goal, but second half strikes from Jake Wilkin and Chris Chisholm saw Embleton take the points at the final whistle .

Tweedmouth Harrow 3

Wooler 2

In a game switched to Wooler because of the weather, it was the Harrow who took a first half lead through Kristian Neil.

Wooler equalised through Kyle Jeffrey, but a second goal from Neil plus a Martin Tait effort saw Harrow in control at half time.

Play was fairly even during the second half but with just about the last kick of the match Josh Hall netted a second for Wooler.
