A lovely day to remember
My sister Anne and friends spent a delightful day at the Catholic Club on Saturday, November 19. It was in aid of the Cancer Car.
People came dressed in 40s style costumes, they really looked the part, very smart. The music was brilliant. Songs from the war years were sung by the lovely Rosita and her daughter.
There was a couple jiving the night away. Everyone was up enjoying themselves, all having a lovely time.
Then there was tea and sandwiches. Tables were all laid lovely, with china plates and cups. For a minute, I thought I was having tea at The Ritz.
It was full of nostalgia, and we all had a lovely day – one to remember. Thanks to all involved.
