A dog's personality is what matters most
Can you believe our shop in Marygate has been open a year this week?
Please do come in and celebrate with us this Saturday, March 19. Not only can you pick up a bargain, but there might be the odd tipple to be had, a bite to eat and a balloon.
It can not be underestimated the amount of work involved in our shop and a huge thank you to everyone who contributes to its smooth and efficient running. Of course, the success is also down to everyone who contributes such high quality goods to sell, and those who buy.
We hope you will join in the fun. While at our shop, have a look at our art competition for 12’s and under. If you know a youngster who is a keen artist, there is something for all.
We have some lovely dogs in (well, we always do).

Buddy is a very photogenic, sandy coloured, seven-month-old deerhound cross, very shaggy and very big. Duncan is a similar age and a short haired collie, with stunning merle colouring. These two have had a lot of interest because of their looks, but individual needs should be considered. Puppies need that bit more, and Buddy has a fantastic nature, but has been very destructive in the house, a problem not to be taken lightly by his next home.
Jack is a four-year-old little Jack Russell. He’s a sweet boy, who has been passed on through Facebook on several occasions before finally coming to us. We have found him such a character who is going to make a super companion.
Another lovely dog is Archie, a 10-year-old Staffie, who has sadly come in after his owner died. Archie hasn’t had much of a life recently and has spent most of his time in his crate. Although he has been happy with that, he just loves his walks and would reward any new owner with companionship and company on regular walks.
We still have dogs Buzz, Bobby, Billy and Clyde looking for homes. They are constantly overlooked due to their ‘non cute’ appeal. If only there would be someone prepared to look further at their wonderful personalities.
