1940s open day raises charity cash
Alongside a raffle, some delicious home baking, refreshments and produce for sale, there were informative demonstrations about how people managed and cooked in the 1940s.
In total, £1,100 was raised and sincere thanks go to all helpers, Sylvia Armstrong, her husband, daughters, grandchildren, friends and neighbours. The money raised will go a long way towards providing the vital services that Bell View delivers for older people.
