Alnwick named as UK's 9th most beautiful location in new research
and live on Freeview channel 276
It is ninth in a list of the UK’s most beautiful towns and villages, as ranked by Daffodil Hotel.
Factors taken into consideration included the number of attractions, beauty spots, green spaces, heritage and Instagrammability (number of hashtags).

Hide AdMayor of Alnwick, Lynda Wearn, said: “I'm really not surprised that Alnwick has made the top 10.
"If anything I'm a little disappointed that we aren't even higher in the ranking because some places have hills and mountains, some have coastlines and some have heritage.
"In Alnwick we have them all.
"We sometimes forget in these difficult times how lucky we are to live in such a wonderful place.”
Bamburgh comes in 55th.
The top 10: 1. Keswick; 2 Whitby; 3 Ambleside; 4 Beddgelert; 5 Salcombe; 6 Oban; 7 Bakewell; 8 Cirencester; 9 Alnwick; 10 Portmeirion.
