Latest data from Public Health England, published by Northumberland County Council, reveals the county-wide infection rate was 304.1 per 100,000 on January 6.
There were 974 confirmed positive cases in the seven days up to that date.
The highest rates are largely in the west of the county with a number of hotspots springing up in the south-east.
However, the county’s weekly case rates and numbers have now fallen two days in a row.
