Data published by Northumberland County Council reveals there were 197 positive cases across the county in the week to March 17.
The rate is 61.51 cases per 100,000 for the same period.
By comparison the rate was 47.46 in the week to March 13 with 152 positive cases.
Here are the 15 areas of Northumberland with the highest rates.
1. Cramlington South East
There were 23 positive cases in Cramlington South East where the rate is 505.6.
There were 13 positive cases in Lynemouth ward where the rate is 289.7.
There were 10 positive cases in Blyth's Isabella ward where the rate is 210.7.
There were eight positive cases in Blyth's Cowpen ward where the rate is 178.1.
