The 14 areas of Northumberland with the highest Covid rates as figures show majority of cases in 10-19 year-olds
Covid-19 rates are holding steady in Northumberland.
Latest data from Public Health England, published by Northumberland County Council, shows there were 49 positive cases in the week to May 4.
The rate stands at 15.3 positive cases per 100,000 for the same period – the same as the previous week.
Further analysis shows that the majority of positive cases (28.6%) were in 10-19 year-olds, followed by 30-39 year-olds (26.5%).
Only 24% of cases are in those aged 40 and over.
