How Northumberland pupils marked end of term with a difference

They held a virtual sports day with pupils at home following online coaches delivering fitness, cheerleading and yoga sessions.
Those children at school took part too alongside more traditional sports day games.
Meanwhile, the school has won two sports awards.

Hide AdIt has been recognised for its ongoing commitment and achievement in the Northumberland School Games Programme during the autumn and spring terms.
It has also picked up a virtual award in recognition of its efforts since the coronavirus enforced lockdown.
Headteacher Belinda Athey said: “I am really proud we have received these awards.”
Pupils and staff have also shown their competitive streak by taking part in the Northumberland School Games Hadrian’s Wall Challenge to walk the 73-mile length of the wall over a two week period.
