Horse bedding manufacturer Bedmax donates wooden seats to Belford Primary School

Detchant-based Bedmax the horse shavings manufacturer, has donated the seats for use in the Forest School.

Bedmax representative Andrew Gregory, a former pupil of the school, was delighted to deliver the new seats which have been designed to fit in with the natural environment of the school’s outdoor classroom.

Being a rural, forest school, children are encouraged to learn about the local area and communities, as well as nature and the outdoors.

Headteacher Lorna Rainey, said: “Our children thrive in the fresh air, enjoying outdoor play as well as outdoor teaching, and so they’ve been thrilled to receive these unusual seats.

"Here at Belford Primary School, we teach our students about how they can help the environment and these seats really highlight this.

"Having Bedmax reach out to us was a wonderful gesture and the staff and children alike are extremely grateful.”
