Visit Northumberland is now urging all businesses in the visitor economy to get in touch to secure 12 months of business support, guidance and promotion through their subsidised partnerships, as the county positions itself to welcome more visitors than ever before.

“As we clear the latest roadmap milestone the obvious strength, passion and positivity of the Northumberland tourism business community is great to see, with many having already successfully pivoted during lockdown, delivering innovative new products and services,” said David Collier, head of partnerships for Visit Northumberland.

“Through our new partnership scheme, we will bring our industry together, share knowledge and expertise, develop targeted campaigns and above all, work tirelessly to help businesses capitalise on the new attention and focus the county is set to receive.”

One of the first to confirm their new partnership, Claire Jarmain from Post Office House B&B in Belford, said: “Visit Northumberland has provided invaluable support during an extremely difficult and uncertain period. We have benefited from their guidance in helping us to access financial support, as well as improving our online presence and connecting us to other businesses.”

David added: “There is always more we can do, and we’d love to work with even more businesses to provide us with that crucial first-hand feedback, helping to identify the challenges and inform how we can best support the sector. In addition, it gives us the opportunity to shout about their success.”

Subsidised Visit Northumberland partnerships are still available, meaning businesses can join now, for free.

Packages include at least one listing on the recently relaunched Visit Northumberland website, which receives over 1 million unique visitors a year.

All tourism related businesses are eligible, from accommodation and attractions, activity and experience providers, to retail and events. For more information contact [email protected]
