Minister hails software firm’s ‘world-leading’ work
Liz Truss, Chief Secretary to the Treasury, praised the innovation of MSP, which has seen it win work internationally with major names including BAE Systems, Pratt & Whitney and multiple leading Formula 1 teams.
During a visit to MSP, where she was given a tour of the site by founders Peter Hammond and Tony Brown, Ms Truss said: “It has been brilliant to see the world-leading technology that is being developed here in Alnwick by the incredibly skilled team at MSP. Developing this kind of software can only make British manufacturing even more fantastic.”

Hide AdShe saw how MSP’s products are helping manufacturers to eliminate error from their processes, increase productivity and make huge cost and time savings.
Her visit also saw her host a round-table discussion at MSP’s headquarters with a number of prominent local business figures, as part of the Treasury’s spending review.
A number of entrepreneurs and stakeholders from across Northumberland shared their views on Government spending priorities for the county in 16 key areas including healthcare, education, environment, pensions and transport.
Peter, who founded MSP with Tony in 2002, said: “We were delighted to welcome Liz Truss to MSP in what was an inspiring visit for our whole team.
