A shop window display competition has helped to promote the event.

Judging took place last weekend and, for the second year in a row, it was won by Vintage-Upon-Tweed.

New chief marshal shields and bunting have also been put up on Marygate.

The shields have been designed in the town colours of red and blue and feature the town bear.

New selfie boards have also been bought. Permission has been received from the Thelwell Trust and people will be encouraged to take pictures in the Guildhall and post them on social media using #Riding of the Bounds.
