A new book containing a collection of poems about the sorts of things that happen to us all has been published.

When Jane Keenan retired from teaching ballet in Berwick, she signed up for an MA in Creative Writing with the Open University.

There she met Susan Brice and Viv Longley, also grandmothers, and together they wrote ‘Daughters of Thyme’.

They went to Coldstream artist Cara Lockhart Smith for a cover and with a great deal of help from David Martin (Martins The Printers of Berwick-upon-Tweed) the collection of poems has been published.

People can buy the book at www.dotipress.com – all proceeds will go to Médecins sans Frontières.

The website also includes praise for the book from a poet and a professor of creative writing.
