Personal best and third in the javelin for Harrier Talia
Talia faced strong opposition at Middlesbrough Sports Village from nine other counties in both the javelin and shot putt.
Although managing a personal best javelin throw of 25.62m the shot put was once again Talia’s best event, throwing 10.82m to gain an excellent third place position.

Hide AdThe younger athletes were competing in the NOTAN Grand Prix at Churchill playing fields, Whitley Bay.
There were excellent personal best performances for Alicia Purvis, Mary Fentiman and Leila Thompson.
Alicia had a superb day winning the overall Year 3 competition and Leila won the Y6 howler smashing the all-time competition record with a massive throw of 35.62m!
