Woman pulled from North Sea after more than an hour in major emergency services operation
Both of Amble’s lifeboats launched in the early hours of Sunday, in response to a request from Humber Coastguard.
The report of a young woman in the sea between Hauxley and Amble set off a search between Coquet Island and the shore, also involving officers from Northumbria Police and Coastguard units and the North East Ambulance Service.
