Northumberland weather: Will the county see sun as lockdown restrictions are eased this week?
In the week which will see the reopening of some pubs, restaurants, cinemas and other leisure facilities – as well as the relaxing of social distancing rules to one metre - will the sunshine be on our side?
According to Met Office forecasters temperatures are set to be much cooler than last week (which saw highs of 30C) and we should expect mostly cloudy conditions.

Heavy rain changing to sunny intervals in the afternoon with a maximum temperature of 17C.
Tuesday, June 30
Cloudy changing to sunny intervals by late morning and a maximum temperature of 18C.
Wednesday, July 1
Cloudy changing to light rain by late morning and a maximum temperature of 14C
Thursday, July 2

What about the rest of the North East?
The Met Office predicts that Monday will be very changeable with showers or longer spells of rain, occasionally heavy over the western hills.
Tuesday will be bright or sunny with scattered showers.
