Parish council to take on Wooler play park
Wooler Parish Council has agreed to adopt the play area at Brysons Park and requested the transfer take place as soon as possible.
The parish council pays for the play equipment inspections and grass cutting in the play park itself, but not for the football field.

However, the parish council has turned down an invitation from the unitary authority to adopt trees at Scott’s Park. The county council had offered to undertake inspections and carry out any recommended works, including the removal of any trees found to be in a dangerous condition.
But parish councillors decided against it because of concerns about the height of the trees and potential risk of liability.
“There’s no benefit to us adopting them,” said Coun Angus Murray.
