Patrick Sheard, chairman of Glendale Gateway Trust, said: “Our goal is to inspire community initiatives that bring people together and enrich the lives of people living, working and growing up in Glendale.
“Margery was a tremendous supporter of community life in our area, so it is fitting that her legacy will be used to make a lasting difference to the lives of others.”
Community groups need not be registered charities to apply, but should have a clearly defined aim and an accountable management group or organising committee.
