Hide AdStar was checked over by the crew before she was taken back to the lifeboat station.
She was then handed back into the care of her owners who took Star to the vets as a precaution.
As a thank you, Star and her owners returned to the lifeboat station with gifts for the crew.
A statement on the HM Coastguard Facebook page said: “If your four-legged friend gets into trouble at the coast, don’t go after them. If you’re worried, call 999 and ask for the Coastguard.”
