Jail sentence for ex-Belford man
A former Belford man has been jailed after admitting phoning in a hospital bomb hoax and throwing a knife at paramedics.
James Wilson, of Fawdon, Newcastle, was handed a 25-month jail term when he pleaded guilty to the offences, which took place in June this year, at Newcastle Crown Court.
On June 24, he dialled 999 and said a device would explode at Newcastle’s RVI. A week later, paramedics called to his aid were greeted by him armed with a kitchen knife.
