Casualties after crash in Northumberland
Three people were taken to hospital after a crash in Northumberland this afternoon.
Police received a report of an accident involving a motorbike and a car on the A697 at Heighley Gate, just outside Morpeth, at 1.43pm.
The driver and the passenger in the car were taken to Wansbeck General Hospital, in Ashington, while the motorbike rider went to the Royal Victoria Infirmary in Newcastle.

Hide AdA Northumbria Police spokeswoman said that the car passenger suffered back injuries and the motorbike driver had leg injuries. She added that none of the injuries were believed to be life-threatening.
