HospiceCare North Northumberland receives donation of 250 face masks for nurses and care staff

Newcastle-based Fagron UK made the donation which will provide nursing teams and wider care staff with extra protection against coronavirus.
The hospice has been blown away by the support of businesses and people in the community who have gone over and above to help and support in whatever way they can in recent weeks.

Hide AdNina Burnett, HospiceCare clinical lead, said “Fagron UK contacted us at the very point we were struggling to access PPE and ongoing supplies were uncertain.
“Their generous donation has given us the peace of mind that there has been no disruption to our service delivery.”
Fagron UK is a provider of raw pharmaceutical materials, innovative products and medical equipment to the NHS and private healthcare sectors and their supply chains. The company employs 10 people from its offices in Ouseburn.
Fagron UK general manager, Peter Batty, said: ‘We’re really pleased to make this donation to HospiceCare and to make a contribution.
