Artist’s workshop opens in Belford

Artists Vincent Lomenech and Olivia Gill open their workshop in Belford today.

Vincent is a specialist in paper restoration and conservation framing,working in the archives of Alnwick Castle.

He is a native of Brittany but came to train in the UK and then work for a leading paper conservator in London.

Olivia and Vincent met and married in 2004 and Vincent moved to and opened his own business in Northumberland in 2008.

She is a printmaker and illustrator who specialises in etching. She has illustrated a book for writer Michael Morpurgo, ‘Where My Wellies Take Me’, published in 2012, and was more recently commissioned to create artwork for ‘War Horse: Only Remembered’, a concert/reading by Morpurgo and musicians, touring the UK throughout this year.

Their new workshop, which was previously in Wooler, opens in Belford at 2 Market Square today.
