A LOOK at the results from the local clubs

GOSWICK: Donald Wilkinson’s new diet of crab meat and strained sauerkraut soufflé, to ease arthritic pain, is doing the trick as he turned in another match winning performance to win the re-arranged November Medal last Sunday.

Winning scores were: Donald Wilkinson 79-14-65, 2nd John Bain 82-14-68 and sharing third place were Alan Lyall 77-7-70 and James Simmons 78-8-70. Ivan Martin had the lowest gross score of the day with a 72.

Turkey Trot results next week.

Next Saturday (15th) is the December Medal and members are reminded that the AGM will be held in the clubhouse on Thursday, December 20 at 7.30 pm.

DOGLEG

MAGDALENE FIELDS: Saturday’s medal and eclectic turkey trot was won by Graham Pearson who carded 95-28-67. Runner-up John Gall had 76-8-68 and a better back nine than third placed Douglas Reap who scored 79-11-68. Sean Jackson (70) had the best gross.

Donald Findlay headed the last qualifying round of the Ron Byrom winter stableford KO with 42 points. Second and third, Gary Jackson and Drew Simmie both had 41.

The list of final 16 qualifiers is on the notice board - please check.

Members had a great night at the Christmas party and special thanks go to entertainments manager John McAskill for organising the music etc. Both Saturday and Sunday’s competitions are also both turkey trots.
