A LOOK at the results from the local courses.

GOSWICK: Ivan had a good win last Saturday by claiming first spot in Winter comp 7. Results: 1st Ivan Goodwin 40 points followed by three sharing second place with 38 points each: Stephen Taylor, Graham Thompson and Bod Lockwood.

Graham (Goozle) Thompson won the Simmons Sweep with 38 points, 2nd Frank Dempster 36 and 3rd Alan Lyall 34.

This coming weekend (16/17th) is Winter Comp 8.

DOGLEG

MAGDALENE FIELDS: Brian Weatherburn continued in good form by topping Saturday’s Eclectic Medal with 80-15-65. Michael Moss made the frame again taking second spot until 85-19-66. Ewan Fyvie came third on 76-9-67. Qualifiers for the second round of the Ron Byrom Winter Stableford were Drew Simmie, Kevin Atkinson, Len Eyre, O Adamson, David McAskill, Kevin Nisbet and the Jackson two, Sean and Gary. Next round will be played on Sunday February 24. The monthly medal is this Sunday.

NIPPER

WOOLER: In the Henry Curry winter league, Geoff Tong leads on 69 points ahead of Stuart Lowrey on 67 and Geoff Brown on 65.
