The evening will be held at Berwick Rugby Club on Friday, February 1, and this year there will be more awards than ever with additional categories having been added.
Organiser Dave Pick said: “We have increased the number of awards to allow us to recognise and celebrate the sporting success achieved within the Berwick Area, particularly in junior and female sport.
“We hope that clubs and schools will nominate people and teams who they think deserve sporting recognition.”

This year’s guest presenter is Katy Storie, who has captained the England ‘A’ rugby team, played 24 times for the senior England team, won a record four consecutive Six Nations titles and three European Championships and narrowly lost out in the World Cup final in 2006.
Her career began when she responded to an advert in the local paper for a female weightlifter to represent Sutton in the London Youth Games. Her confidence soared and she progressed quickly into the Great Britain junior and senior weightlifting squads, competing for three years at that level.
In her first year at Newcastle University, Katy was introduced to rugby and as soon as she had the ball in her hands she was hooked. Katy now works as an Athlete Mentor for the Sky Sports Living for Sport Programme.
Details on how to make nominations will be announced shortly. A traditional nomination form will be published in the Berwick Advertiser, but this year there are also plans to embrace Facebook and Twitter in a bid to encourage more nominations.
