BERWICK Rangers have signed 18 year-old attacking midfielder Dylan Easton on a full contract until the end of the season.

Easton, who made his full debut at home to East Stirling on Saturday, signed a contract prior to kick-off.

And he marked the occasion by scoring the team’s second goal in their 2-0 win at Shielfield.

Afterwards he said: “Things didn’t work out at Livingston after ‘Yogi’ (manager John Hughes) left.

“After speaking to a few people I decided it was best to move on and Berwick showed an interest in me so I was happy to sign for them.”

Easton has been training with Rangers for the past month and he starred on his debut, when he laid on two goals in Berwick’s 3-1 away win at Montrose after being introduced as a second half substitute.

“That’s two games and two winsd,” he said, “so I couldn’t be happier. We are also going to Ibrox to play Rangers next weekend and that will be a big game for everyone.”

Meanwhile, Berwick have released striker John Ferguson.

The former Leith player had been used on a semi-regular basis to partner leading goalscorer up front, but at the weekend manager Ian Little said: “We felt it was best to let John go as he is not quite what we are looking for at this stage.

“We are trying to get him fixed up with another club but there has been nothing arranged yet.”
